Advanced Surveillance Workshops
About the Workshop
This 4-day Advanced workshop is open to anyone who wishes to learn surveillance to a level higher than that taught on our basic surveillance courses. It is still suitable for those participants with absolutely no experience and also those who have been working in the investigations industry for some time.
Successful completion of this workshop will satisfy the requirements in relation to 4 modules of the Nationally Accredited Certificate III and IV in Investigative Services. A Statement of Attainment will be awarded to each student along with a certificate of completion.
The Australian School of Security and Investigations (ASSI) is well respected within the industry as training providers. The certificate can demonstrate to a prospective employer that you have received a highly regarded standard of training.

What Participants can expect
Skills are taught which are necessary for gathering evidence by covert means and to become a proficient surveillance operator. ASSI teach how to carry out surveillance whilst on foot, in a vehicle and from a static point. In this advanced course, there is much emphasis placed on pre planning including aerial recognisance coupled with an ASSI technique called reverse perspective surveillance (RPS)
The skills learnt during the pre-planning phase are then put into practise during a closely supervised surveillance exercise. The training is further enhanced with lessons on legal issues and the laws in relation to evidence gathering and photography.
This practical course includes training exercises that are realistic, structured and controlled to gain the most benefit for the student. All equipment such as vehicles and covert radios are supplied.
Accomodation will be live-in with all breakfasts and evening meals provided. Accomodation will be 4 star with all facilities provided.
There will be a maximum of nine participants per workshop.
Participants need to have a reasonable degree of fitness and no phobias especially in relation to flying.
Participant selection will be at the discretion of ASSI and anyone not selected will be provided with an immediate fee refund in full.
